“Terrific!” breathed Zuckerman.4

Just as we read of Zuckerman’s enthusiastic admiration for Wilbur in this story, so does our God joyfully admire us. We are terrific in His eyes, not because of what we have done, but because He sees us through His Son. God breathes His Spirit into our lives when we know Jesus, and that is terrific!

We’re terrific because we are . . .

able to quench the enemy’s fiery darts (Eph. 6:16) able to do all things through Him (Phil. 4:13) called by His name (Isa. 43:1)
complete in Christ (Col. 2:10, NLT)

empowered to witness (Acts 1:8) God’s possession (1 Cor. 6:19–20) His children (John 1:12)
His chosen (Eph. 1:4)

His temple (1 Cor. 3:16–17)
His workmanship (Eph. 2:10)
invited to approach the throne (Rom. 5:2, Heb 4:16) living stones (1 Peter 2:5)
more than conquerors (Rom. 8:37)
possessing the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16)
reigning in life (Rom. 5:17)
reigning with Him (2 Tim. 2:12)
seated with Christ (Eph. 2:6)
set apart for His use (2 Tim. 2:21)
strengthened with all power (Col. 1:11)

Terrific, don’t you think?

Prayer: Father, I praise You for these gifts that are so wonderful, they surprise me in my daily living. Thank You for the grace to believe and stand on who You say I Am, what I have, and what I can do.

Radiant Action: Journal Entries: 1. Name one reason God is terrific and one thing about myself that He made terrific, then I will thank Him for both. 2. What is terrific about those close to me?
