Journey: to travel from one place to another
Some Journeys in Charlotte’s Web:
Fern ran to the barn to grab the ax from her father.
Wilbur moved from the Arable’s to the Zuckerman’s barn.
People came from all around to see Wilbur.
Fern went to the Zuckerman’s often.
Mrs. Arable drove to see Dr. Dorian.
Many took a trip to the fair.
Templeton reluctantly climbed up the shed wall to retrieve the egg sac.
Some Journeys in the Bible:
Abram began his faith journey not knowing where he was going. Joseph went to Egypt without an idea of where he would end up. Ruth left Moab and went to Bethlehem with Naomi. David left his family and lived on the run from Saul.
Jesus left heaven and came to earth to face death to bring us to heaven. Saul became Paul on the road to Damascus and went on many missionary journeys.
John was exiled to the island of Patmos, where he wrote Revelation.
We are pilgrims, sojourning toward our forever home, and hopefully, with the grace and indestructible life of the Holy Spirit inside us, we are changing the desert places into springs as we go through life.
“As they go through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs” (Ps. 84:6).
Prayer: Lord, please keep me going step-by-step.
Radiant Action: I won’t look at the whole trip all at once. I will concentrate on one day at a time.
